Indifference...

I sometimes wonder if our Lord lets us experience indifference and rejection from those whom He has given us a heart to speak to and share His message so that we may intimately share in the sorrow and grief He felt when people rejected His ultimate offer - an offer He bought and paid for with His very life and blood.

It is so painful when you are on the outside looking in, knowing there is a better way - a perfect solution - but, despite your best efforts, it is seems to all be done in vain.  If you have experienced this, take heart in the fact that Word of the Lord does not return void!

Remember this as the Lord moves your heart to minister to those around you: "Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm.  Let nothing move you.  Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not vain" (1 Corinthians 15:58).
