A Foretaste Of Things To Come...

I will let the text speak for itself:

Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple.  And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things?  Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down."

Now as he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be?  And what [will be] the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"

And Jesus answered and said to them: "Take heed that no one deceives you.  For many will come in My name, saying 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.  And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars.  See that you are not troubled; for all [these things] must come to pass,  but the end is not yet.  For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.  And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.  All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.  Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake.  And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.  Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.  And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.  But he who endures to the end shall be saved."

I think we are in the end times and have been for some time now. I am not a bible scholar but it has pretty much said how things are going to go down. I enjoy reading prophecies of all kinds as a hobby just to see how accurate they might be. Pretty much all of the main ones say the same stuff as the bible, and it was first. I always hear people say that if there were ufos or something like that then the government would keep it a secret so people wouldn't panic. I wonder if the church would remain silent if they had evidence that some of the prophecies were playing out. Who knows, I don't, but there is way too much evil than there should be so the clock has to be ticking. I'm too tired to correct my grammar but I sure do dig reading yours, keep it up! -one from another mother:)

Thanks for the comment! You said, "I wonder if the church would remain silent if they had evidence that some of the prophecies were playing out." Sadly, there are many in the Church who think these events are allegorical or think they have already come to pass. However, there is a resurgence in the study of prophecy in recent years that is showing great insights and that God says what He means and He means what He says.

Blessings!

I guess it really comes down to us not knowing, specifically, when it's gonna happen, but things just don't seem right. I used to laugh at people who spoke of evil until I came face to face with it. And I've seen it since. Still scares the hell outta me, so now I choose to stay around those that don't have that quality. Not making much sense, but it's something. The breakdown of ethics and leadership's gotta be a cause in there somewhere too, Left and Right and all in between, and me too of course, being guilty.- one from another mother

While we may not know the specific day or hour, the Bible is rather explicit on what the "road signs" are related to both His second coming and the rise of the Antichrist.

I understand that people who hold our views my seem quirky at first, but when you really start to look at the Bible, God's plan, man's state, and when you compare all of that to what is being offered by other religions and secular humanism, things don't appear so strange.

I encourage you to delve deeply into study concerning these things so that you may find yourself assured in a relationship with Christ and prepared for what is sure to come.
